Our first visit to the restaurant was fantastic! The food and ambiance were excellent. Although we went on a busy weekend night, causing some delays in service, the staff was friendly and attentive, consistently refilling our drinks while we waited for our meal.
The food was fresh and entirely homemade. The hand-breaded chicken-fried steak, onion rings, and fish were all delicious! I also enjoyed a mixed drink with my meal. It's a fantastic place! I love the food and will definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who’s passing through.
Loved it! Food was great! Service impeccable. Marvelous atmosphere.
After days of freezing weather we had an opportunity to take a drive to relieve our cabin fever. I had heard of this restaurant in a very small east Texas town. We took the back roads and arrived about 4:00 p.m. We were going to have an appetizer then drive to another restaurant back toward home. The owner and crew at 7th Street were so nice we decided to stay for our meal. The atmosphere here is old downtown store front. There are all kinds of eclectic memorabilia on the walls. Now for the food. It was very good and well presented. The drinks were cold and kept full. The service was friendly and attentive. We had burgers and jalapeno poppers. It was an hour drive but we will be back. The main take a way is that the wait staff was the very best! One more reaso we sought it out is that there was a TV movie staring James Garner shot in this small town.
