restaurante chifa pekin - Cusco

We were expecting something really good because Chinese food is famous in Peru. The food was very normal and the price was good. The size of the plates was huge. My friend claims she's sick to eat here, but we have no way to be safe, and this is not included in our calculation.

Close to our hotel so easy to reach. Huge portions, rice and chicken and soup for 15 soles to start. Not the best Chinese I ever had, but it was good and filled us. If you are in the area, send a change from Peruvian and save your pennies, go for it.

Chifa is quasi-Chinese style restaurnats are popular in Peru. During our two-month motorcycle tour in South America we have desperately tried to find other options than local cuisine. The Chifa restaurants are usually in order, but a spacious scream from the big restaurants we find in most countries. But Chifa Pekin rocks! The boss is actually from China. he cooks in the style of Szechuan. Two of our group are from China, and they could write our order in Chinese, march back into the kitchen, and surprisingly good food came out! Sweet and sour pork was super good. Soups and agitators are ordered. Fried rice is a safe bet. the noodle dishes, not so much. Beer is ice-cold, they don't have wine but will run out and buy for you!

Good chifa in Cusco, cheap lunch menu, average 11 soles for a wonton (soup or fried) fried rice with a choice of meat. Staff not so friendly

When you would like to eat Asian/Chinese food instead of pizza every time in Cusco Peru, you could try to have lunch or dinner in this Chinese restaurant. The location is just walking distance from Qorikancha site. It is not like Chinese restaurant in Hongkong, but the food is quite delicious... the portion is quite big you could share with others. The waiters could only speak Spanish, should you need to speak Chinese then you have to talk to the owner which is also the Cheff, they also accept Credit card with no additional charges... the services is quite quick and the price is reasonable...
