Excellent family restaurant and service. Food was very delicious and the service was great. They made us feel welcomed and helped with the menu and recommendations. They also sell different liquors. The Castanhas were delicious here. Definitely recommend this place.

Ci siamo fermati per colazione e abbiamo assaggiato la torta alle castagne, devo dire molto buona. Tuttavia, il prezzo mi è sembrato esagerato per i prezzi dell’isola, 13€ per due fettine di torta, un caffè e un caffè con latte. Non ci tornerei.

We were very disappointed with our visit. We ordered two salads, one sardine the other chicken. The sardine salad was okay, it had lettuce, carrot, tomato, onion, croutons, one olive,black eyed beans and sardines. The chicken salad consisted of lettuce, carrot, tomato, one olive, croutons and something that did not resemble chicken. The chicken was shredded mixed with some sort of creamy sauce, not sure what it was, cream/ yogurt/mayonnaise, who knows it was utterly tasteless. On our way out we observed that other people with salads seemed to have much better than we were served. The drinks were not priced in the menu, we felt they were overpriced. The toilets were poorly maintained, two toilets, one for men the other for women although the men seemed to use both. All in all, l would not recommend.

Went there on a tour, recommended by tour guide who had apparently told them we only had a limited time. With half an hour available they took our order which was for a salad a quick and easy option, but hadn’t arrived after 20 mins, despite others from our group arriving after we had ordered and got served cooked food in less than 10 mins ! Appalling, definitely avoid and go to the coffee bar almost next door !!

Chestnut soup and cakes are good. Service is nice.
