The Angus beef bowl was excellent. The meat was tender and tasty. Reminiscent of sukiyaki. Whereas most Japanese restaurants over cook the meat until it becomes chewy and the beefy flavor is cooked out, KC did it perfectly. Condiments on the rice bowl included Japanese pickled daikon radish, pickled ginger and a perfectly cooked soft boiled egg. In Japan, it is customary to dip the sukiyaki meat into a beaten raw egg before eating. The soft boiled egg was a good substitute for beef dipping. Good interpretation of a Japanese classic cuisine.
Wonderful food worth the price, service could be better (perhaps short staffed? , I would rate A in terms of ambiance and cleanliness.
The food is delicious. The service is a bit slow, possibly due to the restaurant still being in its soft opening phase.
The restaurant was closed when we arrived, even though we had made a reservation through OpenTable. OpenTable needs to update the restaurant's days and hours of operation. This has never happened to me in all my years of using OpenTable for reservations.
