Sunrise Cafe - Cuenca El Arenal

Sunrise Cafe had been widely and enthusiastically recommended in several expats forum, so we arrived with high expectations. And boy, it did not disappoint. The food is great, as well as the service, but what gives this place its homey and comfortable atmosphere is Frank. After 10 mins at our table, we already felt like old timers. We went every day of our short one-week visit to Cuenca and it became the highlight of our trip. So, head on over! And thank you Frank!!!! We wish you all the best, tus amigos Boricuas!

I had the fish n' chips and they were delicious! The fish was light and tender with a crispy batter and the fries were perfectly prepared. Really, you can't go wrong at Sunrise Cafe. I've never had a meal I didn't like here.

Love the place and the staff! And the food is wonderful. The weekly specials are always a treat!

Awesome place..delicious food.We had those great dishes for breakfast.In the evening we had the delicious ribs .

Sunrise Cafe is a warm and friendly place to go--I eat there about three times a week. On Mondays, it is one of the few places open. Where to start--Eggs Benedict, Crepe Lambada, almuerzo specials, all the omelettes! The waitstaff, Frank and Mirna, are like family and treat you like one. Orlando is gracious and so friendly. Do yourself a favor and go regularly.
