Everything was fine, taste, price, service and ambience. I tried the Punjabi-Dal and Jugo-Mix. They were delicious. Her nose is thick and perhaps not very authentic.
This is my favorite restaurant in the 3 weeks I was in Cuenca.
Service kind of sucked bc there was only 1 person on the floor n 10 tables. Got our drinks at the end of our meal n came out horrible. Food was good, better to order to go.
At best this place is average, which is concerning as the owner is of Indian decent. There are at least 3 other Indian restaurants in cuenca that have better Indian food. All of the reviews on this page are for their swarma, which is actually a middle Eastern dish. We got a selection of their Indian and Pakistani foods. Both were bland and lacked flavor. The spice pallet was lazy and so we're the staff. When they brought over the chicken pakora the staff dropped one on the table and then he picked it up with his dirty hands and put it back on the plate. The naan bread was a joke. It was made with whole wheat flour and yeast. Which whole wheat would have been fine if it was a health food restaurant (but its not). The yeast also hadn't had enough time to rise or cook. Turning it into this weird bread mush. We gave it back to the staff almost whole and he asked us if we wanted to take it home, we said no. He didn't even question if we liked it it not and simply threw it away! The owner asked one time after the mango lassi came if everything was OK. Which at the time it was because the lassi are really nice. He never asked us again or even came near us again even though we were the only two people in the restaurant. The food is so bad. The service is worse. Just go for a mango lassi or a masala chai and you'll like it.
