Calderone Club - Cudahy

Inside, the restaurant exudes a warm and inviting atmosphere—unless you happen to be seated by the large windows in winter. We started our meal with warm bread accompanied by olive oil, which was a lovely touch. My husband enjoyed his spaghetti and meatballs, paired with a very fresh salad, while I relished my small house special pizza. We both took home some leftovers, which we’re looking forward to enjoying for lunch tomorrow. I appreciated their smooth coffee, the elegant white tablecloths, and the cozy glow of flickering candles, and our server was attentive throughout our visit. I now understand why this place garners such positive reviews. We arrived quite early and were seated without any issues, but given its popularity, making a reservation would likely be wise to ensure prompt seating.

The food was outstanding. The service was good! Veal picata excellent! Can't wait to go back.....for pizza. Love it there!

Pre-pandemic, my wife and I would periodically dine here. It was not convenient to where we lived, but the food and atmosphere were always worth the trip. My wife became a resident of a memory care unit 1/3 mile down the road. One day while walking she recognized the restaurant. That Saturday night we went there to eat. The staff could not have been more considerate of my wife's condition. The food, especially the pizza, was outstanding. Shortly thereafter my wife took a turn for the worst. For over a week during my wife's final illness the Calderone Club became our kitchen while the three kids and I were staying at the memory center. We ordered meals to go and some to eat in; we were never disappointed. There was one very memorable night that we went there as a family while my wife slept. The food, service and spirited atmosphere made for a time we will not forget. My wife and I had been going to the Calderone Club for food for over a decade, but the kindness and compassion shown during a very difficult period demonstrated the true character of the owners and staff.

We usually like to stay for the pasta but we love the pizza. It is a thin, crisp crust and the sausage is excellent. The owner is so friendly and ensures that every customer has a great experience.
