Trust me to filter out the tourist traps! surroundings: the roof café/bar/bistro is located near the templo mayor museum. easy to access. their museum tour. they go to a bookstore and take a lift to the top floor. the opposite is very airy, calm and still alive. we need to see a bit of the wm live when we were there and beautifully looking at the excavation site. food: we only have small bites: the guacamole and the queens. both very good, simple and inexpensive. for drinks I have the chilango: this is a frozen chamay with mezcal and limette juice, ice crinkled and wodka. my man tried all kinds of mezcal for about $5 usd and a few beers. great eating and drinking pairing! service: we had rotating server that could not speak much English, but it was no problem at all, as we show on the menu and translate google. they were all very attentive.
Excellent eating, excellent service 10/ 10 eating the place and the prices is a very good option when you visit mexico city
I had been happy to wait for a table on 19 september when the earthly mexico held. this building has been carefully fenced around. the personal has treated the situation overwhelmingly, had just a comprehension. it took time to open the restaurant, and it was worth waiting. it was cool and relaxing sitting on the terrace overlooking the ruins and people down. because I don't speak Spanish, the personal has someone with good English that is assigned to me. there was a problem that my phone would not open the menu so a conventional memu was delivered. the meal was excellent, the thunfish was rare as ordered, and the other dishes were to my taste.
Had a really lovely lunch here as a solo Traveller. The view is well worth the extra cost for the food. So: not cheap, but the food is good and the service was excellent, too. Enjoyed my lunch and the view, would recommend !
Templo Mayor is extremely important to the history of Mexico City. Well done and worth the time to walk through the ruins and visit the museum. Our group was fortunate to have a guide, which I recommend as you get so much more information. Right in the heart of the Zocalo. Must do if your staying in Mexico City.
