The red velvet was made with vanilla cake and had a bright red color with light blue cream... cheese freezing with wrinkles. The cupcakes are super sweet and great for children.
We went at least 5 times to Cupcakeria in Condesa. It was always delicious. They don't do with love and you smell it. Always really friendly staff. Go there if you like to eat delicious cupcakes with delicious icing!
Cupcakeria has an array of unique cupcake selections that are reasonably priced. The location in La condesa is the one i frequent and the staff is very helpful/friendly and the cupcakes fresh. The location in Zona Rosa i'm sad to say I was disappointed with...the quality of the cupcakes. They seemed a little stale. Nevertheless, the condesa location is one of my favorite cupcake places in town.
This place is approximately 2 years old. First they started just as cupcake store, then they realized they did not sell enough for such a central position in the zona rosa, so now they also sell other products. The bad luck is that up to...4 cafes and pastry stores have opened next door and just in front, so I don't expect this place to remain open for long. Besides, the cupcakes are nothing special and most of the times in the morning you can find the leftovers of the night before on display. A much better choice is the Krispy Kreme donuts up the road in front.
The cupcake rage in the US has made its way south of the border. This is one of the better places in Mexico City for a cupcake. They are reasonably priced and have a good selection. The cake is moist, the frosting is generous and...some have filling. My favorite is the dulce de leche and the strawberry has a fresh taste. Service is good, and they offer take away.
