My wife and I thought the food was quite good. She had soup and salad... I had the scaloppe alla amalfitana which was served with pasta. The pasta was very good with a great sauce. The meat was on the tough side and I think beef as it was so coarse. The service was spotty considering there were two or three waiters and there are fewer than a dozen tables. I didn't like that they add a 12% tip to your bill without mentioning it. It's not even stated as a tip so if I hadn't asked what the charge at the bottom of the bill was for I'd have double tipped. So over 1000 peso for dinner for two with two glasses of wine is a bit on the high side for a casual restaurant like this. We ate at fine dining establishments for much less.
Right next to our rental so an easy walk. Great food. I had pesto with walnuts, pine nuts and fresh parm...my mom had the four cheese pasta, and my husband had a yummy pizza. All delicious. A perfect cup of cappuccino and we all splurged on desert. We’ve already been back!
We stayed close by, and we decided to try it out!! Food is delicious, Very patient with our children, and the servers were great
We had an entertaining evening chatting with the staff and the food was OK but they really need to do something about the noise from the exhaust fan. Frankly it was exhausting. That said, they have a good wine list (albeit not inexpensive) and a varied menu Neapolitan style with pasta served with all the entrees. My chicken was on the tough side and my fettuccine were underdone even for an al dente lover. We really liked the staff. Great humour and willingness to chat even though we speak Italian, English and broken Spanish and they spoke broken English and Spanish. So it's more of a fun night than a foodey night!
We ate here 2 nights ago as it was very close to our hotel. The service was great (unlike our bad experience at Gotan the night before, just around the corner) not proficient in English but we got by with a very enjoyable experience. The food was super! The pizza was to die for if you love a crispy thin crust you will love this wood fired oven pizza. The Caesar salad was very traditional with anchovy puree but not overpowering a more oil based dressing not the creamy stuff that taste like mayo that you get in the US. The pasta was also very good along with the house red wine. If you are from the US the prices are amazingly cheap for the quality. I would absolutely go here again with friends, family, or a date nice trendy but romantic interior patio seating available. Takes credit card. The restaurant is on Ave. Independence it has an address of Revillagigedo 18 but it's in the downstairs of this building on the other side which faces Ave. Independence. It's about the middle of the block between Revillagigedo and Luis Moya.
