We went there to see goats and sheeps in the heart of the Gerones. We took a risky road in the hills so it took 2 hours ride from Tossa de Mar. You should take a road from Cassa de la Selva -see photo with the indication where it starts. It defenitely worth a trip. In 930 ac there were 30 houses there.. the chirch is abandoned but still beautiful. The owner is very welcome and gave us good home wine and cabrito with peas and carrots, though on sunday they are closed. The atmosphere oh the family farm was warm and authentic.

The restaurant is located in the Gavarres forest. It is in the middle of nature and rural atmosphere. When you arrive there, you can feel that you are in a magic place, you breathe very calm. Perfect for disconnect. Is like a farmhouse, is situated of five hundred meters above sea level. The best of this site is the landscape. There are excellent views of Costa Brava. You can see the Illes Medes, Montgrí castle… it’s awesome, very beautiful. I really recommend this place. This restaurant is able to live the products that the nature provides them. They offer top quality land products and proximity food. This restaurant basically is cuisine gastronomic Catalan. Among the dishes in the menu you can find various specialities such a grilled meat, snails or duck in the pam. Grilled lamb and vegetables are delicious. I really like this place.

In the middle of the mountain in Las Gabarras a place full of cork trees. You get to this place that looks like a farm in fact it is self sufficient. I had the best duck great salad escargot are delicious they are small but very tasty The view is amazing you can see the coast and all the valleys It is worth the experience because of the food Nd the place

An anarchic and hidden place. The access road is by an unpaved road. Good views of the Emporda. Lovely place but quite dirty. It has not been thoroughly cleaned for many decades. We ordered grilled meat, some of it quite burnt. The best was the goat meat. The grilled chicken was poor and burnt. Next door is a ruined church.
