Las Cabanas - Crozet

Can you say amazing? This place offered a Chipotle-style burrito, but it tasted like it was made at home. I wasn’t sure what to think when I pulled up to the little, somewhat run-down gas station. I decided to take the plunge anyway. When I walked in, I was surprised by the long line, but I was impressed at how quickly they moved everyone through. It turned out to be a fantastic stop. Thanks, Las Cabanas!

The staff at this restaurant are incredibly rude. I’ve visited several times, and each time, I feel like they treat me as if I’ve done something wrong or that they simply don’t like me, despite my attempts to be polite and friendly.

Every time I pass by this place, there's always a line of cars and trucks out front, so I decided to give it a shot. It's essentially half of a Citgo convenience store, so keep in mind that you're getting food-truck-style meals to go. After visiting two days in a row, I can confidently say it really satisfies. I've tried their tamales, tacos, rice and beans, and flautas, and everything was quite delicious. While it may not compare to the incredible Mexican food in Southern California, it's definitely the best I've tasted in Charlottesville, Waynesboro, and everywhere in between. Plus, it’s very affordable!

This restaurant offers truly authentic Mexican cuisine, served hot and freshly made at fantastic prices. They have snacks and cold drinks available as well. Plus, there's a gas station and a picnic area for those lovely weather days.
