I was attracted by the aroma, I love Malaysian food and paid for the great meal deal. the chicken curry seemed to let oil swim on the sauce, and I saw the woman spooning on my rice. I ordered the Rendang-Rind as my second meat choice and then asked for a coffee. I got a cup with a spoon of instant nescafé in it. my first mouth full of rice showed that the Malaysian cure had none of the rich and delicious flavors that they received in a Malaysian restaurant; at both ends of the scale. the chicken was brewed and limp and practically tasteless. the bark rendang was worse. I couldn't taste any cocosnus, the bark was fat and cheap and...more
I'm definitely going to return to Uncle Lim's one day, to try their famed Char Kway Teow, (stir-fried, flat and broad rice noodles) and the mixed rice/noodle dishes. It is a good fix for a hometown-food-craving, with great value and a decent variety.

I came back another time when a friend of mine, Ms Chocoholic wanted to eat there and I ordered something else that I've never tried before which is the Hokkien Noodles. They were tasty but did not leave a lasting impression. Will I recommend: Yes Will I come back: Yes Have I had better: Yes...read more
My first bowl of laksa was at katong laksa, I've always been addicted, although it can sometimes be too sharp to be tolerated. if laksa is on the menu, it must be ordered. Since then I compile a Singamalay series on my blog, but after a few, they get to know what is a good one of the presentation and taste. I have a fair share of singapuran and malaysian laksa in hong kong, although some places have closed for good and new, but in Great Britain I have not tried many. before I go, I will check in the rule her menu and photos to see if it is the actual offer. the laksa at uncle lim’s saw the part with thin reis vermicelli, tofu puffs in a...read more
