Sanderstead Tandoori - Croydon

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. Not only did I find a broken glass in my food, but I also saw a rat running around. When I brought this to the attention of the staff, they denied it, which I found to be unacceptable. The prices are high considering the quality of the food is not great.

Terrible restaurant with rude staff! They sneezed on my food and refused to replace it. The yelling and screaming from management was unacceptable. The strong smell of cannabis upon walking in was shocking. The food was also terrible, I would not recommend this restaurant at all. Complete disaster!

Booked for a big family for my daughters birthday. Wonderful food and service. Could not fault one thing. Very accommodating for our own birthday cake and for two of the children with us who were not eating. (Disabilities) First time we’ve tried this restaurant and wont be the last! 10/10!

Two of us went to the restaurant a week ago and we chose to have the Banquet Menu. The choice of food was good, the service was excellent and the total price was very reasonable.

I'll start by saying that this is a local curry house to us and every time we've ordered or visited, the staff have been exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately however the food has got consistently worse. We tend to order chicken dishes and have tried a variety now, and in each of the more recent dishes we've tried the chicken is hard and flakey, as if it's been cooked and recooked several times. The most recent outing was a chicken tikka dish and the food was inedible hard chicken that was incredibly salty and certainly not the tikka/tandoor flavours it ought to have been. The bread and sundries are fine, nothing special. The most disappointing thing here is that the food used to be tasty and fresh and with such a friendly staff team, I wish it was better.
