Pizza Express - Croydon

Well, I’d love to discuss the food, but unfortunately, it never arrived, and as a result, my party and I had to cancel our order. As we were leaving, we encountered a more compassionate staff member who apologized and explained just how dire the situation was. We learned that when customers pay with cash, the waitstaff are expected to give change from their own pockets, with no reimbursement from management. What kind of unethical practice is that? Overall, this was a terrible experience—everything felt like a poorly run operation, and I believe it tarnishes the Pizza Express brand. I sincerely hope they lose their franchise rights. To sum it up: if you're short on patience and value good ethics, steer clear of this place. Avoid this Pizza Express at all costs.

If I could give less then a 1 for atmosphere I would. Staff treated like actual animals, can only assume the Red haired woman yelling is in management, which is disgusting considering the racism she was spouting. Staff look dead and I can't blame them. Food was both mediocre and lukewarm, I've had hotter food from a freezer. Cannot believe how the staff are treated and if you raise a concern you're told to go do one. Pizza Express? More like An Express way to depression.

We all had a wonderful evening at Croydon valley park pizza express. The vegan/vegetarian options where very scrumptious. I thoroughly enjoyed the tiramisu. The staff where very welcoming, Lavinia our waitress was very thoughtful caring to point out our menu options,nothing was too much for her.

I’m not normally one to complain but customer service at this particular Pizza Express is abysmal. Would actually complain to a member of staff if there were any around to complain to. Literally every member of front of house staff disappeared after 9.30pm. Had to inform a cleaner that we were still waiting on food. This was after waiting 10 minutes at the entrance for someone to ask if we would like to be seated. The service let down what was actually a nice meal. Won’t be coming here again.

Lovely family meal and an amazing waiter Nikolas. Fantastic service, really helpful, amazing with my young three children. Very grateful and would definitely return again to this branch!! Cannot emphasise how superb the waiter was, makes such a difference to your dining experience.
