Chennai Dosa - Croydon

In the town of Croydon, there is a hidden gem called Chennai Dosa, and it is absolutely fantastic! The traditional dosas are crispy and delicious, offering an authentic taste that is truly a delight. The waiter's warm smile made us feel incredibly welcome. The Mushroom 65 dish was a spicy delight, each bite was perfection. If you are looking for rich and true South Indian flavors, this is the place for you in Croydon. Chennai Dosa is a true jewel in the world of curry, and they have definitely won our praise!

The dosa chutney was excellent, as was the South Indian thali for lunch. The filter coffee was also amazing. The owner, Ravi, has done a great job with the restaurant and the service was good.

We ate there recently the service was terrible..the food took long to come. All dishes came separately. Two of the six dishes taste decent. The rest was so bad..wen bringing up with the waiter he was rude ans ignorant. We where hungry after we left. So disappointed and upset with the while experience..

Despite informing the staff multiple times about one of our party members having a nut allergy, we were assured that the starters we ordered were nut-free. However, when the dishes arrived, they were bland, greasy, and not up to standard. Unfortunately, the allergic member began to have a reaction to nut traces in the food, despite being told multiple times that it was safe. Even after confirming that the main course, a paneer dish, was nut-free, we were later informed that it contained cashew nuts. This was the final straw, and we all decided to leave as we no longer trusted the restaurant to provide safe food. In conclusion, the food was mediocre, and the management of the restaurant is severely lacking. It is best to steer clear of this place.

Delicious and excellent value. We ordered a delivery and all the food was beautifully flavoured. The Masala Dosa’s were amazing with a selection of coconut chutneys. The tarka daal and aloo ghobi were really tasty and it was all very reasonably priced.
