Crown Brewing - Crown Point

I was quite underwhelmed by the two beers I tried. One was their award-winning Porter, which I didn’t even finish. A friend who had either a Weiss beer or a Belgian beer was also very disappointed. This was a few years ago, so hopefully the quality has improved since then.

I sat down and enjoyed a "The Dude" White Russian Java Porter, and found the atmosphere to be very relaxing and enjoyable. The beer was excellent, and the staff were fantastic! I will definitely be returning.

We stepped into Crown Brewing and ordered the Beauregard Blue in an 8oz serving for just $3.00. Unfortunately, it didn't taste like I expected; I thought it would be a sour, but it was more of an ale, which wasn't to my liking. However, the price was very affordable. We also tried a pint of their Crown Soda Root Beer. It had a rich, dark color and a deep flavor that I really enjoyed. If they offered a diet version, I think I would like it even more. We also took home a Growler of Dude Java Porter for $8.00, as they had a special on Wednesdays, plus a $5.00 charge for the glass. That was a great deal for the size. However, the porter was strong, and I wasn't a fan of the flavor, so I wouldn't order it again. Still, you can't beat that price. Our bartender was friendly and served our drinks quickly and efficiently. Overall, while I wasn’t particularly fond of the brews I tried, the prices here are certainly reasonable. I think others may enjoy this place more than I did.

We chose to try this restaurant since we were nearby, and we were pleased with our experience. The staff was friendly, and the place was clean, although the bar area felt a bit small. The food was good, and the cherry mousse was absolutely delicious! I also tried the beer, which was decent, though I'm not a huge fan of it—my husband enjoyed it, though. But it's the cherry mousse that will definitely bring me back!

The building housing Crown Brewing is stunning, creating a wonderful atmosphere. There's a lovely outdoor terrace that adds to the experience. The beer served here is excellent, and the menu offers a wide variety of options. While the focus is on pizza, there are plenty of other dishes to choose from as well. The main dining area is also very family-friendly.
