Merengue - Crossing

We took a class of middle school students here for lunch. They prepared the back room for us. The set menu was fantastic, including vegetarian options. I love that it's a nut-free kitchen.

This is the second time I have ordered here and I consider that the food is very dry. Last week I ordered a beef steak, it was dry without juice and the meat was the same and today I ordered a mofongo I had a wire that I have seen in my mouth terrible I will never eat here againI want to upload the photo but I don't see how to do it

We like the food and especially the attention. My coworkers like the Grilled Breast with chimichurri sauce and the delicious sancocho. Thank you

My fiance and I drove two hours to mass for date night because we were craving Dominican food and there's nothing in our area. The rice and beans and coconut sauce were amazing but I was really disappointed with the service. Our waitress greeted our table and got us water and we were going to order la insuperable for us both to share and the waitress said she could make it a smaller version considering it is supposedly a dish for 20ppl. I told her it's ok if it takes longer since I know it's a larger amount of food. We were happy with that and she brought us our rice and beans first and it was great. Fast forward literally an hour and 30min later and she hasn't looked in our direction, refilled waters, or brought us the rest of our food. One of the other waitresses went over to her to let her know we looked like we were waiting for something and turns out she never put in the rest of our order and just forgot about us completely. We were really disappointed and paid for our beans and left. After a long day I don't think we'll ever drive that far for date night again.

The food is good but it takes approximately 50 minutes to bring the food to the table without the restaurant being busy.
