We were also uneasy because we were led to our seats down a very narrow staircase and we didn't see any other exit signs in case of an emergency/fire? The service was very slow but they were very busy and our waiter was very nice and apologetic. I ordered the chicken piccata which was extremely salty and came with potatoes instead of pasta which was disappointing. My husband ordered the steak which was very good but you can get a good steak anywhere.
Saraceno is one of our go-tos in the North End and it did not dissapoint. Consistently great!
Our meal and service were great! I would go back again!
I ordered a Martini, and the bar-tender couldn't even make a simple Martini. I'm not sure what was in the cocktail, but it wasn't good. The backed clams, at $15, were microscopic. The veal saltimbocca, at $25, was unrecognizable and cold. We enjoyed the pasta carbonara, but the bread was stale.
The staff took 45 minutes to take my order. The owner laughed when I complained. The staff that bussed tables were really kind. It was just our waiter. Not worth going to.
