The interior and exterior of the restaurant was beautiful and it definitely caught our eye; I even loved the wine-rack hallway inside, it had a decadent aesthetic. With all the windows from the outside, we really hoped for a window view, but I guess it wasn't our night (we did appreciate the quieter room we were seated in though! . I ordered a medium-rare filet mignon with a side of lobster macaroni and cheese, while my girlfriend ordered a medium-well bone-in prime strip with a side of kale broccoli cole-slaw. My steak was perfectly cooked from the wall to wall medium-rare to the crispy surface, and I loved the lobster macaroni and cheese to pair (bread crumb crust is impossible to hate . The cole-slaw unfortunately did appear to be more like a salad, and I found the crust of my girlfriend's steak to be quite burnt. I am proud to announce that we both enjoyed the moscato however, perhaps being one of the sweetest white wines I've had. For dessert, I ordered a cheesecake, while my girlfriend ordered the buttercake. Although the only thing I enjoyed was the crust (the cream cheese portion was quite bland , we both LOVED the buttercake. The pecan icecream pairing along with the caramel sauce just made the buttercake such a valuable addition to our evening.
My husband and I went to Del Friscos for our first anniversary. The table and view were amazing. We got the bacon appetizer and had to send it back because there was a thick layer of peppercorn crust that overpowered the bacon. My husband ordered the Chilean sea bass. He loved the crab fried rice that came with it but said that the fish wasn't seasoned much. I got a filet, and it had way too much peppercorn on it (similar to the bacon). The salad, sides, and desserts were yummy, but I had a strong peppercorn flavor in my mouth all night which wasn't fun. We were disappointed with our dinner.
Made a reservation for Saturday before Valentine’s Day. Had to cancel the day before. 24 hours notice was given. Girlfriend was sick and we did not want to bring germs into the facility as a COVID precaution. Management told us we were all set and not to worry. About a week later we were charged a $100 cancellation fee. Called restaurant and were given the runaround. Told me to call Landry’s. Landry’s doesn’t answer. Called Open Table. They tell me to call restaurant. Called restaurant they tell me to call Landry’s. No one wants to help. Have disputes transaction with bank and called local News. Sad as we had a membership rewards with this restaurant.
Del Frisco's is an very good to excellent steakhouse, not a great steakhouse. The food can be fantastic... and today it was... however service detracted. Perhaps more staffing is required to provide the service they claim they stand for. We stopped in on Thanksgiving Day. Starters were all great... Butternut Squash Soup, Harvest Salad (greens, walnuts, sun dried cranberries, warm bacon dressing), Crab Cake, Wedge Salad. The Turkey Special for Thanksgiving was really tasty... Slow Roast Turkey with Stuffing, Mashed Sweet Potatoes, Green Beans.... the bird was tender and moist. Ordered the Rack of Lamb for the first time... really nice lamb. Sides were perfect, served hot (not always the case in past visits): Mashed, Corn, Creamed Spinach. Nicely done... so important for sides to be great in high-end steakhouses! Dessert included Pumpkin Cheesecake and Pecan Pie a la Mode... both winners. The desserts here always are. Wine list very pricey. Some good selections by the glass. Was happy to see the kitchen has raised the bar most recently. Now if we can see an increase in the level of service, Del Frisco's can rise up to the top rungs of the ladder of excellent steakhouses in Boston.
Great location. Amazing Atmosphere. Good Staff. Great Food. Amazing Old Fashion drinks. Great scenery. Overall, this is a great restaurant to eat to relax, and have a drink. I can't wait to go back there again.
