Putnam Lodge - Cross City

The restaurant is very nice, comfortable, quiet, and clean. I truly enjoyed the overall atmosphere. It was a great experience, and I would highly recommend this place. Rooms: 5/5.

This place is absolutely incredible! I highly recommend going on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday. The steak and prawn shrimp were both outstanding. From the moment you step through the front door, the attention to detail will transport you back to the early 1900s. I can’t wait to return and indulge in this amazing experience again soon. Also, a big thank you for offering Sam Adams beer — it's a fantastic choice!

We happened to drive by and decided to turn around for dinner last night, and what a wonderful surprise it turned out to be! Our waitress, a lovely young woman named Ashlyn, was incredibly helpful with our selections and suggested we take a look around the property while we waited for our meal. The rolls served with oil and balsamic vinegar were definitely worth the stop! My wife ordered the redfish, while I opted for the grouper piccata, and we both thoroughly enjoyed our dishes. It's a charming spot filled with history (make sure you check out the men's room, haha)!

The hotel was well kept, but bed and breakfast was misleading. It's not a Cafe but a small kitchen area that has a limited supply of frozen sandwiches, yogurt and coffee.Room had funky step from bathroom to bedroom. The bathroom door and entry door where hitting each other, so you had to remember to close it or other peson couldnt get back in room. The refrigerator in room wasn't on and didn't notice so our medicine and food were bad when we opened in morning. This was very upsetting. If you get a garden room, bring earplugs, the noise from the wildlife woke me several times.The restaurant was rustic/romantic. We sat in a little room with big cozy chairs and a very uncomfortable table. My husband got the Osso buco, which was perfect. I ordered the crabcakes, but they were out. Had to wait a very long time for the server to return to retake my order. Ended up getting steak tips. Ordered blue got medium with one slightly medium rare and tough. Since it was late and my husband won't eat if I returned it, I ate what wasn't shoe leather and the stray cats outside hotel got an expensive meal.Grounds were kept, but shrubbery needs a little more attention. The pond was a little gross and slimy.Slightly over-priced but comfortable. If the breakfast was even a limited fresh buffet style and the restaurant got tweeked, be a rave review.

It's a relaxing place respectfully adults pet's friendly but keep pet's on a leash it has a dog park that is fenced-off birds peacocks that are wild that walk around there cats are there couple of them a water fountain with tables around showers bathroom and washer and dryer at the RV Park
