The dining experience was fantastic. The portion sizes were good, and there were no issues with finding menu items that suited our dietary needs. They offer separate menus for vegans, gluten-free options, etc. The food was incredibly fresh and delicious, and we will definitely make a point to come back here in the future.

I ordered the vegan mushrooms on toast from their vegan menu. The description sounded appealing, with sourdough, vegan parsley garlic butter, vegan cheese, and spinach. However, when the food arrived, it had eggs on it, so I sent it back. I thought about just removing the eggs, but I was disappointed that the rest of the dish wouldn't be vegan. It smelled delicious, very garlicky, and I was hungry, but I decided to wait for a new dish. When the new dish came, it looked very different, and I'm pretty sure the first one wasn't vegan at all (not just because of the eggs). Unfortunately, the new dish lacked the garlic scent, the sourdough was dry, and the mushrooms on toast tasted bland. I couldn't eat it. I mentioned on my way out that they forgot the vegan parsley garlic butter, and the response was that the mushrooms were cooked in it. However, if they did cook the mushrooms in garlic butter, why didn't it have any taste or smell of garlic? It seems more likely that they forgot to cook the mushrooms in the garlic butter. I left Nichols Garden Center $18 poorer and unsatisfied. I won't be returning. A place that believes vegan food is tasteless isn't for me.
