Rene's Dining Room - Crivitz

When you enter the bar area, you can only order food if it's a sandwich; no other food is allowed at the bar. The restaurant itself is quite large but feels outdated. I ordered a burger and there was no option to choose how it was cooked. I opted for the Swiss and mushroom burger, but the cheese wasn't melted when it arrived and looked like a slice of Kraft cheese. Additionally, no fries came with the meal—they were offered as an extra. One could argue that the burger didn’t even weigh a third of a pound. The bartender even struggled to make a Moscow Mule. My dining companion ordered the Sheriff's Chicken, which had no appealing presentation. It was simply chicken over rice with a canned sauce and a chunk of unappetizing parsley. The staff was pleasant, but overall, there was nothing noteworthy about the experience.

Food was Horrible! Understaffed (can understand). Chicken overdone, so overcooked it was rubber. The cod seemed to be boiled not broiled, dry and rubbery. Our group agreed to steer clear of this place in the future.

Perfect supper club experience! Great old fashioned, great atmosphere, great people, what more can you ask for. Chuck makes killer ice cream drinks, so don't miss out!
