Mcgills Pint Platter - Cripple Creek

We have eaten regularly here that we are pulling in this summer early to cripple creek. what a total disappointment was to return yesterday to find that the menu was changed and had hardly any Irish food left. the food we ordered was terrible. the chips were soggy, the rice was boiled and the haw was dry. even though this was our favorite restaurant, we will not return again.

The service here is quite slow. I requested water from three different waiters, but never received any. The food is just average; I would recommend dining elsewhere.

Pastrami sandwich was excellent with the right amount of koleslaw on it. perfect with a pint!

Perhaps it's the heat or the fact that it was our first visit, but I don't think we'll be returning. My friend, who is an Irish immigrant, wasn't impressed either. The Guinness failed to pour properly on the first two tries, and you definitely want a good head on your pint. The French onion soup looked nothing like the pictures, though it was edible. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it and would suggest looking for alternatives before considering a return.
