Tempus - Crewe

We stayed for a night in the restaurant ordered wein the dame brought the wein into a cool bucket and put on the table and went away. we opened the wine and poured ourselves. eating came we ordered pizza it almost ended on my knee when I tried to cut it with a knife, provided that was so blunt at the end used my finger. the finished eating dame away teller go past, several times we were never asked if we wanted a desert and we did.after 15 minutes after the bill and left asked. hotel was beautiful had a great stay restaurant staff polite, but obviously not trained in correct service. my man and I have been working for many years in the gastronomy and food service industry was not used the customer service

We originally we booked into the Tempus restaurant but there was a very noisy group in there so we moved to the bar. The food was ok, nothing too fancy but that's ok. However for the price I think it was mediocre. We had the gammon and the chicken burger with upgraded fried, a pint of peroni, a coke and a like and soda and it came to over 45 which seemed a lot for what we had.

Nice atmosphere but menu a little disappointing and quite pricey . Portion size excellent though . Staff very friendly efficient . Good ambience .

Food was poor and did not in any way reflect the prices being charged. The restaurant tables and layout doesn't give a pleasant ambience.

Avoid if possible. I saw 3 meals that had to return to the kitchen. And there were only about 10 tables occopied. I ordered hummus and pita and they gave a cut up wrap as the pita, without an apology or excuse. Humus came straight from a supermarket. My husband ordered spare ribs as a starter and they were below average. The lamb ravine my husband ordered was bland and I. Ordered a Caesar salad with grilled chicken. There all sorts of random bits in my salad like 3 pieces of green beans, a few leaves of rocket. I think the chef does not care about cross contamination in the kitchen. Also the chicken was not grilled, just a cooked chicken (I suspect from the supermarket again). The best part of the meal was the bottle of water I ordered. For 75, go somewhere else if you can. You can also skip staying at the hotel. Very outdated rooms, wobbly mattresses, not worth the money.
