Passing by this restaurant without stopping would be a mistake. The interior is interesting, albeit a bit dated, but the food and service more than make up for it. Try one of their 1/3lb cheeseburgers with grilled onions and pickles, and savor the fresh, hand-shaped beef patties on a soft bun. Order a side of waffle fries or onion rings, along with a fountain drink, and transport yourself back to a time when simple, delicious food was served at a fair price. You can choose to dine inside or outside on the covered patio, but on a nice day, I recommend sitting outside. Enjoy the lively conversation of satisfied customers as they indulge in their tasty Freeman burgers.

There are no frills here – just good food. The staff may be on the older side with gray hair, but they're friendly and happy to chat. You order at the counter and can either enjoy your meal in the funky interior or take it outside. Don't forget to check out the bathroom for some funny wallpaper. Stock up on camping supplies and stretch your legs before hitting the road again towards Lake City.
