Sunset - Cream Ridge

Good afternoon! I had lunch at this restaurant today. The parking was mostly occupied by golfers. The grill area was empty, and there were only three people at the bar along with a group standing nearby. We decided to sit at a table by the window, which was pleasant, although a bit windy. For lunch, I ordered the chicken parmesan and buffalo chicken sliders. Both dishes were delicious and plenty filling. The service was good as well. By the time we were ready to leave, about six other groups had arrived, so I think we went a bit early.

I encountered a few temporary tea boxes early in the season, but I was pleasantly surprised by how well the greens were in late March — they were in great shape and rolled beautifully. The prices are consistently affordable, and there's always a good selection. I enjoyed a really tasty lunch in the bar after my round.

Everything in every beautiful course and in good shape. A problem when you make a teen time, why press it out early. It's not the point of making a time. Get up, warm up and go to the TIME. To be pushed our 25 minutes early, the flow... I'm just talking.

Having played golf for 50 years, my last visit to Cream Ridge was in 1989. The greens were fast and in excellent condition, with some challenging pin placements. It was a hot, humid day, and the course provided a moderate level of difficulty. However, some holes could benefit from better signage or trimming of the ornamental grass to make the hole numbers more visible. I lost a bit of time searching for the tee on hole #5 and had to ask other golfers for directions, which shouldn’t have been necessary. Despite this, I will definitely return because it was a genuinely enjoyable experience! I managed to score a solid round under 80. Shelby Courtney was really nice too!

I like this course. It's not especially difficult (lots of wide fairways)...good for all average golfers who want to work on their game. What it is is a beautiful maintained property; with a number of holes that cause you to think...while leveraging some gorgeous landscaping. We played recently during one of those HHH days...nice, light breeze; with plenty trees for cooling shade. You should play here.
