The sweet potato fries are the best I've ever had, the Philly sandwich is delicious, and the service is excellent.

We were really happy to see Diamond Joe's reopen, but unfortunately, the food has not improved. I hope they can move away from using canned country gravy. I've definitely noticed a decline in the quality of the food.

From my perspective, they would benefit more from training their current staff. The waitstaff didn't know what beers and wines were available, and there were several mix-ups, including throwing out my leftovers after my wife specifically requested a box. We also struggled to get our check. The employees seemed unsure how to operate the register, and the manager, who did know, was missing in action while tending to something outside. To top it off, their internet was down, but luckily I had $45 in cash to pay for an unspectacular meal. I ordered the Navajo taco, which was decent, but my wife went with the chicken special, which consisted of a single fried chicken thigh, what seemed like boxed mashed potatoes, powdered gravy, and canned green beans. In hindsight, we should have driven the extra 10 miles to Hotchkiss for a better dining experience.

Crawford is basically the middle of nowhere, definitely not on any major supply or tourist route. So, having a place serving a classic American diner-style menu with long hours, 7 days a week, is really a luxury. I appreciate this place. But the honest truth is that the food isn 't great. But it also isn 't bad, nor is it expensive, and it 's ready fast. If you 're using Yelp, you 're probably just passing thru, and this is probably the best you 're going to find in the area. The staff are friendly, but in this neck of the woods, they think you wear a mask to protect yourself, and they aren 't afraid of COVID-19, so they don 't wear them. They 'll kindly invite you to take off your mask if you want, unless you feel safer with it on. So, if that 's a concern, fair warning. If it 's not, then it 's your lucky day! There 's still a restaurant in Crawford, and it 's probably open right now!

These folks are no longer open for business. A new business has come in called Joe 's Cafe . Do not have anything to report on them as of yet. They are working the kinks out, so will review later.
