However, on this particular visit, I decided to try the Punjabi lunch special, which included brown lentil dal, yogurt, salad, and freshly made chapati - and it was absolutely fantastic. It was definitely worth the 36-mile round trip. The owner and waitress are lovely, very friendly and helpful, and they truly care about ensuring that you have a great experience. I highly recommend giving this place a try - you won't be disappointed.
This cozy cafe has been rebranded as the Country Kitchen. We hadn't visited since before the pandemic and found it to be just okay. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the food we saw looked decent. We each had a small individual pot of tea and a toasted teacake, which were fine, although the pots were small and only held one cup. The shock came when we received the bill - it was nearly £14.00, with the toasted teacakes priced at £4.25 each! We understand times are tough and costs have increased, but we feel these prices are excessive. Unfortunately, we won't be returning. We recently purchased a large toasted teacake at a craft bakery cafe for £2.80, so there is no excuse for such inflated prices.
I had an amazing dining experience at this restaurant. The Punjabee meal was delicious with fresh ingredients and the staff were very welcoming. The desserts were particularly outstanding. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning.
Popped into the Kitchen Garden on way out elsewhere for a quick spot of very late lunch. What a lovely surprise. The place has been beautifully renovated with calm, serene and calming colours with little fairy lights. (Outside aswell as the inside). All the ladies working there were just the loveliest and whilst we opted for the paninis, there was a choice of specials available. Coffee is coffee care, one of my favourites and it was just a really nice place to be. Definitely be back, I feel it will be a favourite stop off over the summer!
