She ordered a chicken caesar salad and absolutely loved it. I went for a steak sandwich, which was cooked perfectly. When it came time to pay, my daughter couldn't resist getting a dessert and chose a stack of pancakes filled with deliciousness. The portion size was huge and we struggled to finish it all, but we did. The staff behind the counter were also very friendly. We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend giving this place a try.
My experience at Gorillaz cafe was less than impressive. Located next to the new intershape gym, we decided to stop in for breakfast after hearing positive feedback from coworkers. The menu only offered small and large breakfast options, so we settled on toast, tea, and espresso coffee. The tea was served in a small pot with no option for additional hot water, while the coffee arrived in an unusually large cup and was disappointingly cold. When we jokingly asked for an even larger cup, the waitress disappeared briefly only to return with a loaf of bread. Despite finishing our drinks, we were still waiting for our toast at this point. The food options were listed on blackboards around the cafe, with offerings ranging from chicken and steak to burgers and salads, along with a variety of cakes. The atmosphere was lacking, with minimal ambiance and the waitress appeared somewhat unsure of herself. I found the lack of vegetarian meal options disappointing, as the only option seemed to be a feta cheese salad. With no menus on the tables, it seemed that the offerings may change frequently. Overall, the experience left much to be desired and I would likely not return unless more vegetarian options were added to the menu. In hindsight, it would have been faster to simply drive home and prepare our own breakfast.
I stopped by this restaurant for a coffee and cake before watching the Tour de France. It was clean and the staff were friendly. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the coffee and chocolate cake were.
Had 3 beautiful meals . would recommend this cafe to everyone i know. But to say it's a café. It had no relaxing vibes. Shame because I can't wait to get some more food from there, and the young man who served us a delight very well manured
My husband and I visited here after rave reviews from friends about the food. Food wise, it was excellent. I had the chilli steak strips salad and my husband had a burger. Both meals were delicious and cooked perfectly. There is a large menu with a good selection from salads, burgers to protein shakes. All reasonably priced and massive portions! The only thing that put us off was the lack of atmosphere. We were the only people in there apart from the waitress, who was nice but clearly very bored. The set up is that of a works canteen basic wooden tables and chairs and no atmosphere. I expect a cafe to be relaxed and homely, with some decent background music on, people chatting and somewhere to relax and chill out. Unfortunately, Gorillaz isn't like that there was some old school Ricky Martin playing which was coming from the kitchen, a very bored looking waitress and uncomfortable seating. It does do very good food but in the wrong surroundings. There are a lot of cafes in Skipton and this is probably one of the better ones, food wise, but I'd be pushed to go back due to the lack of atmosphere. But then again, I guess a cafe is all about the food and not what the surroundings are like and I should imagine that over time, it'll become more popular and develop a larger client base. That's why I've given it 4 stars and not 5
