Craven Arms

Booked a meal today . The Beef Wellington was simply the best . Living in Clapham we've always passed, but never called in . This visit was well worth it .

We arrived at 19.00 and find a large family party celebrating a birthday. We thought the service would suffer but it didn't. The food was lovely, and even better the fish pie was gluten free and they did a small size and a larger size with an assortment of fresh cooked vegetables. There was a good choice of gluten free dishes. We will definitely go again if in the area.

We had dinner here and can definitely recommend. The staff were very welcoming and our meal was excellent and very reasonably priced. We will definitely dine here again.

Sunday 21st April. We went to the Craven Arms for Sunday Roast . It a MUST for a good Sunday lunch. Generous portions, lovely staff, very reasonable and the lady pub owner even took us home as we had walked from settle to have our lunch, what more could you ask for exceptional service. From the moment of arrival, we were welcomed enthusiastically. We arrived early but were taken to our room straight away. We were travelling with friends and they were met with the same enthusiasm. Our friends had there dogs with them and the staff couldn’t do enough to make sure they were included in everything we did, from having breakfast (complete with an extra sausage each for the dogs) or just having a drink in the bar. The rooms were lovely and clean. Lovely tea tray with nice biscuits. The products in the bathrooms were really nice as well. We ate breakfast and evening meals here over both nights which we were pleased we had as the food was exceptional. Overall we had a fantastic stay. The owners and staff were definitely the nicest and most accommodating we have experienced. We will return soon.
