El Tapatio Mexican - Cranston

Fantastic! The food is outstanding—top-quality Mexican cuisine that is absolutely delicious! The portion sizes are generous, and the restaurant is impeccably clean, which is very important to me! The atmosphere is enjoyable and lively. Overall, it’s a great spot to enjoy authentic Mexican food and unwind. Definitely give it a try; you won’t regret it!

I heard they reopened in Cranston, and I couldn't wait to visit. I've had takeout from here a few times but wanted to try dining in. Overall, the experience was wonderful, from the waitstaff to the chefs. We had a fantastic time. All the food was incredibly fresh, and you could really taste the quality of the ingredients; nothing was watery, dry, or overly salted, which usually masks freshness. We ordered the horchata (which I highly recommend, and it tastes just as good), hibiscus tea, a torta de carnitas, and an asada quesadilla. You absolutely must try the torta de carnitas—the bread is so buttery and serves as a perfect cushion for the pork loin.

1. I ordered virgin margaritas, but they were far from refreshing. 2. I requested mixed fajitas and only received chicken. 3. The carne asada was served ice-cold, and I never received my Mexican coleslaw. 4. The waiter was loudly arguing with someone next to me about margarita prices. 5. The queso tasted burnt, as if it had been sitting out for ages. As someone who works in the food industry, I never leave negative reviews, but I wish I could give this place a lower rating. It was truly terrible. Do yourself a favor and spend your money somewhere else!

Flavorful, generous amount. Fast and friendly service. Beer on tap given in large beer mug Complementary chips and salsa.guacamole is great! Got churros and sopapillas for dessert. It was ok but for some reason tasted old or from frozen. Overall everything was good though. It's worth making the stop.

I had the cerviche. And lthough the portion was huge. I was hoping for a variety of seafood in the cerviche. It was good but, not what I expected. It only had shrimp and avocado slices. It was mostly salsa like in presentation. Overall, the service was very nice and attentive. I'll return again and try their tacos next time.
