The Heid Out Fisher Peak Brewing Company

I absolutely love this brewpub! After two exhausting flights that brought me here from Nanaimo, I was thrilled to discover this place. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The food (I had the bison burger) was exceptional and packed with flavor. The locally brewed beers were amazing and rich in taste. The crème brûlée was simply divine. What’s not to like? If you ever find yourself in Cranbrook, this is the place to go for all your dining and drinking needs. There's a pub side and a family section, so they’ve really thought of everything! I highly recommend this spot for a romantic date or a family dinner alike.

They serve a scrumptious Yorkshire Pudding with Roast Beef here. It's rare to find restaurants that serve Yorkshire pudding. The Yorkshire Pud was crisp and fluffy, the roast beef was good, but would have been even better if it was cooked medium rare to medium well with a bit of pink as it was drier being well done. Pure Yum. Their butterfly shrimp was also delicious. The Jicama salad was refreshing and healthy. The green pea, chick pea, mushroom masala was also delicous and fine tasting comparable to ones at Indian restaurants. High quality, well made food here with a diverse menu. Very impressed.

The food is quite delicious, although the kitchen staff can be a bit slow at times, and there have been instances of a twenty-minute wait for a table. Nevertheless, this hardly detracts from the experience, as the quality of the food and the selection of craft beers on tap are noteworthy. The on-site microbrewery ensures a steady supply of house-made beer. The open floor plan creates a lively atmosphere, which can get a bit loud, and the lack of private nooks and booths leans more toward a trendy vibe rather than a cozy one. Pricing is competitive compared to similar establishments, placing Heid Out among the top contenders in the region based on taste, portion size, and cost. The waitstaff is extremely attentive, and while there were a few minor issues with the food, they were easily resolved with proper attention. Overall, the few drawbacks are minor compared to the overwhelmingly positive experience. I would easily give this Cranbrook gem a solid 5-star rating.

Great place! The beers here are fantastic, especially the Elephant Run IPA, which goes perfectly with their spicy pickles. Additionally, they have a dog-friendly patio in the summer. It's a must-visit spot if you're in the area!

I was riding through here on the way home to California. What a gem, the hotel clerk was right! Don’t waste your time with other restaurants in the area. Perfect schnitzel, creative menu and fantastic service. Did I mention the brewer has an exceptional touch at making common beer uncommonly good? Pilsner, IPA…etc. I will absolutely ride another 1000 miles to eat here again.
