The casino is a good size, and there are several dining and drinking options available on the property. The pool and hot tub are also very pleasant. If you enjoy golfing, you're going to love this location.
This hotel and golf course located at the base of the Rockies is fantastic. In terms of value for money, it's one of the best we've encountered. The hotel rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, and while the pool is small, it's sunny from early morning. The food and drinks at the 19th hole on the golf course are reasonably priced (especially for 2023). The family package at the golf course, particularly the stay-and-play program, might be the best deal in British Columbia—juniors can play for free when accompanied by a paying adult after 3 PM. The golf course features a nice balance of requiring well-placed tee shots on shorter par 4s while offering wide open fairways on the longer holes, allowing for powerful shots. With four sets of tees and mixed tee scorecards, golfers of all skill levels can enjoy the experience.
We had a delightful couple of days relaxing at St. Eugene. The grounds and buildings are stunning. The property has a deeply unsettling and traumatic history, so witnessing its positive transformation is incredibly powerful. The rooms in the mission building are fascinating and rich with the history of the St. Eugene mission. Be sure to visit the interpretive center; you're bound to learn something important about the history of the residential school era and the decades that led to such a tragedy. On a lighter note—though the atmosphere is far from gloomy—the cocktails we enjoyed at the Numa bar were truly some of the best we've ever had, and we’re no strangers to cocktails!
My father and I played the course in August on a Saturday morning. Pace of play was good and the course layout was great. Pretty views throughout, although not as many standout 'wow ' holes. Appreciated the Marshall and the pushing the pace of play and really liked the snack shack layout (visit 3 times). Practice facility was a bit run down and the care for detail was pretty average. Overall a really solid experience.
Really nice hotel. Our room was large, maybe a tad outdated, but still nice. The pool was great, we had the whole pool and hot tub to ourselves for a bit.The staff were all so friendly and helpful. We needed a wine cork and they brought one up to our room. The food at the 19th hole was not good. And it was pricey for the quality. If we stay again we will check out the other restaurants instead.
