La Macarena Pupuseria Latin Cafe

As a fellow Salvi this is the best Salvadoran restaurant I've been to in the States. The staff was incredibly friendly, lovely, and kind. Fresh produce, delicious drinks, and great pupusas.

A friend took me here for lunch. I was blown away. The chef owner is a great guy, and he loves his job. He is a natural. This small restaurant is the real deal. Everything is cooked to order, so be ready to settle in. I have eaten everywhere in New Orleans, and I am looking forward to showing people this gem of a restaurant. Don't miss it.

The food was very good and reasonably priced. The sangria was ok and way over priced, $15 a glass and the owner of the restaurant would not stop talking to us during the entire meal to the point that it was very annoying and took away from the enjoyment of our dining experience. Also they two of our 5 orders wrong. Never again.
