Known for its authentic French-Crole cuisine, everything we ordered was an adventure. The owner, a New York native, happened to be at the restaurant the night we visited. He mingled around every table and gravitated toward us in such a warm and welcoming manner. Service, food, drinks and ambiance on point, I'll definitely want to have dinner there again.
U nforgettable dining experience that perfectly captures the soul of the city. The food is nothing short of exceptional, offering bold and authentic Creole flavors with dishes like their shrimp and alligator sausage cheesecake or perfectly fried chicken, all packed with a unique blend of spices and creativity. The portions are generous, and every bite reflects the rich culinary tradition of the region. The service is equally impressive, with staff who are not only friendly and attentive but genuinely passionate about making each guest feel welcome. Despite how busy the restaurant can get, they ensure every diner feels special and well cared for, adding a personal touch that enhances the overall experience. The ambiance at Jacques-Imo's is lively, eclectic, and quintessentially New Orleans. The funky, vibrant decor creates an inviting and energetic atmosphere that feels both laid-back and full of charm. Whether you're dining inside or out on their patio, it’s a place where you can relax, enjoy great music, and soak up the essence of the city. Jacques-Imo's is truly a gem for both locals and visitors alike.
Cool place. Good Hurricane, crawfish, redfish, biscuits. The savory cheesecake was also delicious
What an excellent surprise. This was featured in a magazine number 8 of 24 in NOLA. We were also recommended by our Airbnb hosts. When you walk in it looks like it’s just a bar, but it’s not. It is small, and a little cramped but it was an old shotgun house so it’s really neat, and you actually walk through the kitchen to get to the tables. Food was top notch. We tried the alligator cheesecake- yes that’s a thing. Boudin balls and a special they were having blackened yellowtail tuna with oyster sauce.
The food, service and atmosphere was outstanding. The stuffed catfish with crabmeat dressing was so good I actually cried. Best restaurant in all of NOLA.
