The owner and chef, Pietro, is a good guy that makes the best pasta dishes we have had outside of Italy. Plates are large, so after the first visit, we eat family style. Pietro also has a decent collection (for Cozumel) of good Italian wines. Highly recommend.
On our last night in Cozumel we decided to walk down the street from our condo to have dinner @ That's AMORE. When we got there we were seated outside which was great because it was extremely hot in the main eating area. It took 15 to 20 minutes to get our drinks ordered, although we were the only ones in the building besides the staff. We decided to order our appetizers and entrees at once not knowing how long this would take. We had not problem getting them and was very happy with the food we had. Then came time to pay the bill...it took forever to the check. I had to go up to the bar and request it. I believe I spoke with the manager and he did apologize for the service. He indicated that he was short staffed. This why I was only giving That's AMORE an average score on their services, otherwise the drinks, food, and view was great.I do recommend That's AMORE, just make sure to sit outside or on the top floor.
First time to this restaurant . The bread was amazing. I had spaghetti Whig was cooked perfectly . Highly recommend
Great food, incredible view. We ate lasagna, tagliatelle with shrimps, pizza peperoni and T-bone medium red. All was Perfect. The wine was very good. Come to back soon!
We have been to Venice, Rome and Tuscany and eaten in a lot of great restaurants so we were really surprised to find this little jewel in Cozumel. It ranks right up there with the best that we have experienced in Italy. The pastas and alfredo sauce were perfect, the pizza could not have been any better, but the lasagna was the best of all. The large portion of noodles were browned just perfectly on the edges and the meat had a great smoky flavor, but the best part of the lasagna was the tomato sauce. It is prepared from fresh cherry tomatoes ONLY and added the perfect topping to a wonderful dish. The owner said that I must have simple tastes when I ordered because he had such an intriguing list of specials on the menu that night. But, I had a longing for lasagna and you can tell a lot about a place with the "simple" dishes. It was far from simple as it had very complex flavors and the great sauce. We had a lower level seat next to the window with some of the most incredible views that you will find in Cozumel. There were no bugs that bothered us during our meal and the heat was not noticeable and we were there in July. The service may have been a little slow, but we enjoyed the pace and we will definitely put this place on our repeat stops when we return to Cozumel. The owner is so very nice and serves great wine from Italy at reasonable prices.
