Kids didn't even like it though they love sweets. Only consolation was chili chicken which was good. Would never recommend at all.
The food here is really good, don't expect much with the decor it's a rough little diamond with everything you expect for a local Indian Restaurant in a beach holiday town. The decor is really basic nothing flash go in your casuals kids are also welcome here. Good beer varieties BYO wine only we visit regularly and love the food. One huge problem is long weekends/holiday times when it's busy the kitchen doesn't cope, they will run at least an hour behind. But if there's no where else to go and you don't worry about time then you will get a good meal for a reasonable price.
We decided to get takeaway from here one Saturday night. We ordered two curries and two naan breads (no rice or anything!). We were told 20 minute wait. An hour later we were still waiting.. Eventually, (some 10 mins after going up to the counter asking how long) we got our food. Nothing (eg. pappadums) thrown in for goodwill, just our two curries and bread. Very disappointing, that's the least they could have done. However, admittedly the curries were absolutely amazing. I still probably wouldn't return, but if I did, I'd ring 2 hours before I wanted to eat.
We were trying to find somewhere still serving food after the Penguin Parade last night. This isn't easy in Cowes. We found the Tandoori still open at 9.30 pm and decided to get takeaway. The food was delicious. The lamb in the curry was so tender it fell apart and had no fat on it. Coconut rice is a must to try. Staff member we dealt with was lovely. We'd definitely go back.
Food is nice. We ordered vegetarian food and magi lassi. My hubby really enjoys it. I like Dal curry. The restaurant is quite busy on Friday n Sat. Please be patient. The mango lassi is so fresh. Luckily we come during mango season.
