Hilltop Diner - Cowen

This little diner is a gem! Located in the remote town of Cowen WV, it is a must stop if you are in the area. The food is amazing. The service is top notch. If you are looking for a classic diner with great food and a small town vibe… this is it.

Good and people were very nice. Just need to update facility a bit but it was great. Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome there. High chairs available

We had an excellent dinner at the Hilltop Diner. It's a small diner in the small town of Cowen, WV. The service was great and friendly. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. I had the hot roast beef dinner with mashed potatoes/gravy, green beans, and homemade rolls. Others had the Roast Beef Sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy and a Mountaineer Burger that had hash browns, fried egg, cheese, onions on a beef patty. Everyone was pleased with their dinner. Definitely worth trying.

It's a quaint please when we walked in we sat ourselves in the corner booth we just waited a few minutes and we got some sweet tea ordered an appetizer. Onion petals which word delicious but the quantity I could still see paper my Philly steak and cheese was delicious I added mushrooms ? my lunch mate ordered chili cheese fries when we received our plates our chili cheese fries had no cheese then the fun begin we had to request actually go get the cheese and the machine went haywire no fault of ours thank goodness I say this because I am a cook and I think a few things could have been improved but I will return not a problem I actually want to taste breakfast because I'm a breakfast cook like I said I would return because the atmosphere was perfect down home folks ?

I'd rather eat at these small diners than just about anywhere.
