Megumi 21 - Covington

We had a fraudulent charge of $127 for waiter from this restaurant. Although the person was picking the order up themselves. We called and made staff aware, asked if they could ask for ID of the person in order for the person to pick up order…staff refused. We asked if they could take a pic of the person so we could give to the authorities, they refused, we asked if they could call the authorities, they refused. They were no help for fraudulent charges from their restaurant. I would be very careful using your credit card at this establishment and may want to only pay in cash.

If I checked this place before a week, I would have given him four stars. that was, to this day, one of our weekly visits. we have tried all the different times and days and we have always had good experiences. the service is decent, I say decent because they have forgotten a few things before like a few appetizers that we have ordered that never came, a roll here and there or the side of the spicy mayo, but the personal was always nice and pleasant, so no great complaining. that's until tonight. it is a Monday evening, so it was not super busy, they were closed yesterday, so everything should be fresh to start the week, we ordered our usual, cooked appetizer and 3 rolls to share. we have always liked the dancing garnel role we have tonight. tonight the roll was terrible, it was spoiled, as in not safe to eat, the garnel crab comb rotted. I'm not sure if anyone else ever had food poisoning, but they usually know exactly what it caused. the garnel – crumb mixture that has an orange sauce was not good or safe for human consumption. it smells and it tasted, it was worse when they know what I mean. I told the server what happened that she had taken the roll from the bill and took the two rolls away that we had not eaten, then continued to bring us a leak for our appetizer and drinks. I was shocked, it was so unchalant and they had the nerve to give us a bill after they gave us depraved food and traded as if there was no problem. the owner was not there, there was no manager, but the leading server hostess came by and I told her what happened, she said that she knew we ordered the same each time, so we would know if it wasn't right. I asked if the owner was there or at least a manager because I was worried about the other customers. she advised that she was responsible and the owner was still a man. I told her that I had to leave because I felt sick, and they needed to pull the shrimp-cram mix and check the other objects in the roll because people could get sick. I called the other location on hwy22 to reach the owner, I spoke to a manager who simply said that the owner was not at this place, so deal with the hwy21 location, although there was no manager there. I will report this to the food poisoning website and will not go back. that was my favorite sushi spot, but not anymore. they should've had the account. I hope they pulled the article and nobody else gets sick.

Talk about yum!!!! Wow! Way more than we expected and everything tasted amazing! We also got the cowboy ramon and it was very good! Plus the cheesecake!!! Yum!!!

Presentation was super nice but flavors could use tweaking

This place really impressed me! After I had received fantastic, authentic ramen during the work from the state, I really thought I would get nothing comparable here in covington. megumi 21 has very, very good ramen. I love her marinated eggs so I got extra. the sushi here is also very good, and if you watch carbs, you can get any roll packed in gurke instead of eating out rice are great. I have chili oil potters I'd write about at home. usually a little overcrowded, but the ambiente is still quite good. the personal is always friendly!
