Ananda Café Covilhã

A really beautiful and international place to go to Covilha. This is a small vegetarian restaurant in the city centre. It has a really cozy decoration and the costume service is really nice! The food is also great and there is a way to use the room for work with your laptop. But I guess the best option is the thematic dinners they host now and then once. The first I was was the Korean night with a really nice host from Seul. They always come with a traditional food, adapted to the vegetarian diet, and these nights include a small conversation and some funny fact about the country and always there are some cultural activities afterwards. It is a great way to learn more about different places with really nice people and amazing food. The only thing I wish was payment by credit card, unfortunately the place is only cash. But apart from that, it's worth going. Ah, they have a special discount for students who make it even better!

My wife and I ran around and I watched the sign of vegetarian food. We stayed a little late in the café so the menu was limited, but we enjoyed a quick salad and setup, two juices and a carrot cake. All were delicious. The owner was very friendly.

The staff is international and super friendly, the prices vary depending on what you want. I came here for the first time on Valentine's Day and they offered me a cookie with my tea. I didn't know I was staying at the closing time, but they never asked me to leave. One of the most beautiful places in Covilha to enjoy a meal or even a cup of tea.

Very delicious food! Huge variety of vegetables in a plate!! I suggest taking the menu suggested by the cook!!

The food was delicious and the owners are lovely. All meals can also be made gluten free..a novelty for Portugal. Prices very affordable. We will return!
