Royal Grill - Coventry

This restaurant used to be outstanding, but has gone downhill since the change in staff/ownership. Despite giving it three chances, hoping it would improve, I have been disappointed each time. The first two visits left me feeling unwell after a chicken tikka nan meal. The most recent visit last week, the food was of very poor quality. While it didn't make me ill this time, it was still a disappointment. Unfortunately, this will be my last visit as long as the current owners are in charge. It's a shame to see a once great restaurant now being poorly run and in decline.

I went to this restaurant to pick up a mixed grill no4 and a Chicken Shawarma for takeout. The food tasted delicious and the prices were very reasonable. It was definitely good value for money.

I recently visited Royal Grill in Coventry to order food. Unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. After waiting for about 5 to 10 minutes, the person at the till ignored me and answered the phone twice without acknowledging my presence. Then, when a second phone rang, a chef from the back came rushing to answer it instead of taking my order. Despite my attempts to get assistance, the staff continued to prioritize phone calls over attending to me. Fed up with the lack of service, I decided to leave and as I got into my car, a couple of staff members ran towards me and started banging on my car. They accused me of being rude and even threatened to break my car windows in the future. It was a disrespectful and unprofessional encounter, and I will definitely not be returning to this establishment. I hope the staff at Royal Grill can learn some manners and improve their customer service in the future.

Close down or get a proper chef!! Worse food ever! I wouldn’t feed this to my dog I’ve never had food delivered from a restaurant where they serve you smashed up poppadoms, and careless about there food. The masala fish was so bad it didn’t even have batter on the fish, the lamb chops and sheesh kebabs were severely over cooked, the curry was drenched in oil and tasteful, my child’s popcorn chicken was burnt and chips were stale!!! We binned the food and I rang to complain, the guy on the phone was extremely rude and refused to sort out the problem! Avoid this place at all cost!!

The food was late and was terrible, we couldn't eat it. The order was wrong, meat smelled off and we regeret not reading reviews befere placing the order.
