Indian Village Coventry

Indian food away from home. We used to visit it frequently. yummy food. Lassi is also very good. Must visit in coventry.

I read that this restaurant used to be excellent in the past. I recently tried one of their vegetarian curries, which was decent. However, their Aloo and paneer parathas were outstanding and authentic from an Indian perspective. Since they offer authentic Indian parathas, I would give them a very good rating.

The service at this restaurant is terrible! Most of the time, they don't have many items on their menu available. They only offer a few options to choose from, and I have never received my exact order when dining there. The staff constantly tries to persuade you to change your order and select something else, which can be frustrating when they don't have anything you actually want, despite having a wide variety of dishes listed on the menu. This all happened during their busiest hours! The staff is rude, the customer service is awful - overall, it's simply not worth it.

I used to love the food and service at this restaurant, but my recent experience has changed my view completely. I ordered a take away and specifically asked for the curry to not be watery, as I had complained about this before. When I arrived to collect my order, I was ignored for about 5 minutes before finally being served. Unfortunately, the curry was full of oil and water. When I called to speak to the manager, I was told she was not in and then later received a call from the same lady claiming to be the manager. I will be writing a letter to the manager to address the poor customer service and food quality. It's such a shame, as I used to love the food at this restaurant.

Really nice informal environment! Lovely Indian food and lots of vegetarian choices. Lady was very good with recommendations on what to choose. Loved the paneer.
