The restaurant offers a lovely view in a charming, vintage setting. We dined outside, which provided a refreshing change of pace. The Caesar salad was enormous!
However, I was rather let down by the lemon pepper wings; they lacked the bold flavors I expect, especially compared to those from Buffalo Wild Wings, where the seasoning is perfectly blended. The Mushroom Swiss burgers were juicy and flavorful, but sadly, the fries were served lukewarm to cold. As for the Fettuccini Bolognese, I can’t say much other than that the portion was massive. The waitstaff were friendly and attentive throughout our meal. I’ll definitely give LR&B another try, but I think I’ll skip the lemon pepper wings next time!
The food was good, and the service began on a strong note. However, towards the end, our server seemed to forget about us. I think this might have been due to a private event happening at the restaurant and possibly being short-staffed. Despite that, I would definitely come back to eat here again.
I found this restaurant to be quite overpriced for the quality of food served, especially when compared to other local dining options, including several that are nationally recognized. While the waitstaff was excellent and there was a good variety of menu items, I expected the food quality to match the high prices they charge. The view of the lake was beautiful, but be aware that the restaurant requires guests to seat themselves and use a QR code to view the menu and place their orders through the Toast app. Fortunately, our lovely waitress took care of us in the traditional manner, but unfortunately, the food did not meet our expectations. My fried shrimp plate was mostly a large mound of fries with only eight shrimp. My wife's chicken kabobs were overcooked, while the broccoli was undercooked. Our bill, which included no dessert and just one drink, totaled $80. While this restaurant has a solid local following and a great lakeside view, I can’t recommend it due to its high prices for mediocre food in a self-service setup.
