This shop never fails to disappoint. It's dirty, the staff do not change their gloves when making sandwiches after handling money, they chew gum while serving and the sandwiches look thrown together. When a sandwich is toasted somehow it comes out stale instead of toasted. The temperature in the salad bar is wrong so the salad end up frozen, see through and limp. This branch really needs sorting out.

Chicken tikka in sweet onion dressing was nice. The rest if the salad was crispy fresh and plentiful. Service friendly been a few times all decent quality.

Very close to the bus station and Castle Dene Commercial part of Peterlee. Excellent place to drink a cup of coffee before or after doing the shopping. The Post Office is also within Subway. Warning: They do not accept £50 notes

I went in today Tuesday 9th and walked out after being seemingly oblivious to the lady serving.There was only one person being served and the lady serving appeared to be more interested in talking to the customer about her job applications I suspect they knew each other ..Every time I 've been in other Subway shops they ask your order while the sandwich is being toasted but I seemed invisible to the subway artist ..The Tuesday offer they had on was great but there are other Subway shops nearby in garages and I will go there in future and went to the Supermarket next door..My 1st visit and doubt I will be back...adding the Post Office that houses this franchise is fine never had a problem there
