We ate in the Ozone Restaurant as part of our spa day at Seaham Hall Serenity Spa. The atmosphere is very quiet and relaxed, most guests are visiting the spa so almost everyone is dining in spa robes and slippers. Food was served quickly and was piping hot. Portion sizes are HUGE! We requested water and after quickly emptying our glasses, as we been overheating in the hot tubs outside! the server kindly left us with a jug of water to rehydrate. Prices are quite high, but the quality of the food would have been totally worth the menu prices (our 2 course meal was actually included in the price of our spa afternoon however . Staff were all friendly, helpful and professional, as always. Our spa day was disappointing as none of the spa rooms were actually open!? But our day was saved by our thai meal in the Ozone Restaurant! the best yellow curry we have eaten outside of Thailand! Our starters were both delicious, I loved my duck wraps there was so much food, I was almost full after my starter! but the Thai yellow curry was sooo sooo delicious I just couldn't stop eating even though I was full! My husband's green thai was tasty, but nowhere near as spectacular as the yellow curry : We are definitely considering returning just to eat at the restaurant for another portion of that delicious yellow curry!
Came for a twilight Spa on a Tuesday night. We were initially booked for March but due to lockdown we had to postpone it. We had a 2 course meal in the ozone restaurant included in this. We were booked in for 6pm but arrived to the restaurant early which wasn't a problem. We got seated quickly and had our order taken fairly quickly too as it was extremely quiet in the restaurant. We had an option of either starter and main or main and dessert, we both went for the dessert option. Food arrived quickly and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. The portions for the mains were huge which is always a bonus!! I had the beef pad Thai followed by the cherry bakewell cheesecake. My mam went for the chicken terriaki stir fry with rice and the sticky Toffee pudding. Although it was lovely, we would only come again if it was included in a spa day as we both thought the prices were extremely expensive if you were going for the meal alone.
Not been here for a year and after last time didn’t have high expectations. Had a two course meal. The meal itself was better than last time. Last year we thought it was not better than a take away meal. But this time food was of good quality. Only negative was the chicken skewers added to the Nasi goreng was dry. Not yet 5 star service. Although the staff despite being busy were attentive. Just some tweaking required. Could do with some where to hang out coats or staff took them to a cloak room. As usual felt over dressed. Should of come in our dressing gowns and flip flops as full of ‘twilight guests’. Either have a dress code or a separate area for them.
Visited here on Sunday night with my partner. Small menu but still a great variety of options. We opted for the Thai red curry, one chicken and one beef, noodles and rice. Food came prompt and was piping hot, great portion sizes and not lacking in meat which I see regularly. Curry’s tasted superb, very fresh and fully of flavour. Great that you can see it being freshly made in the open kitchen. Service was good, recommended a dish for me as I was unsure so thank you. Love that you can dine in your robes, makes the stay much more relaxed. Would definitely return. Only reason for not being 5 is, the menu in our room was different to the one given in the restaurant. I did ask if they still did the black bean dish which was on the menu in our room, to which we were made clear they do not and asked to where we had seen the menu. This would have been fine but staff continuously discussed the matter out loud between them selves making me feel a little awkward. Arguing over who was to come over and ask where we had seen the menu etc.
