Amerisports - Council Bluffs

The chicken wings and yam fries were outstanding! We would definitely return for those. Our server provided excellent service. There was a slight issue, but aside from that, it was an enjoyable experience.

The food was excellent, and the portions were generous. The service was also good. We enjoyed a lovely view of the water from our table.

I wish I could give this place zero stars. From what I could see, the sign looked promising, but that was the only good part of the experience. We were seated at the only available table, but no one came to check on us for 20 minutes, despite several servers moving around and attending to other tables multiple times. I even asked someone who seemed to be a manager about our situation, but their response was dismissive. Another server passed by and, after I mentioned we'd been waiting for 20 minutes, said she would check on something. She returned three minutes later, served the table next to us, and then disappeared without acknowledging us again. I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but this was an unbelievable experience! I have never felt so blatantly ignored by a waiting staff in a crowded restaurant.

Right off the bat, I can say this is an excellent spot for watching sports. We managed to snag a seat directly in front of a large TV and enjoyed the hockey playoffs. It felt like we were the only ones watching the game, which was quite enjoyable. Our waitress was pleasant and came over quickly to take our order. To our surprise, our food arrived in no time at all. We ordered Philly cheesesteaks and fries, expecting something average, but we were completely mistaken! The fries were fresh and crispy, and the Philly cheesesteaks were loaded with provolone cheese and flavorful steak. Additionally, the view of the river was a lovely bonus. I highly recommend this place!

The atmosphere was lively on a Monday night, and the service was decent. Unfortunately, almost every table was dirty or had used dishes on them, so we opted to sit at the bar. As for the food, the wings were absolutely amazing—definitely on fire! I would rate them a perfect 10/10. However, the spinach dip was disappointing. On the bright side, there were plenty of TVs to catch all the games being broadcast.
