Root'd Cafe - Cottonwood Heights

Cute restaurant with a nice atmosphere. Went there on a weekday morning. Was not very crowded. I ordered the corn flake French toast, with fruit and crispy bacon. Bacon and fruit were good but the French toast was super dry and hard to eat. Service was horrible, there were four waitresses there and not once did they come and refill my water or ask how it was. Yummy yummy and reasonably priced. Service was a bit more 'relaxed ' (slower) than we prefer, but great food.

Love the atmosphere of this Cafe! The open dog friendly porch is very nice to have. The food is yummy and the staff are very friendly. Maddy the barista made good drinks too!

I booked reservations for my husbands birthday, and we were running late. I called the restaurant and spoke to someone to let them know that we would be late and they said it wouldn’t be a problem. They didn’t ask for my name but I made sure to tell them before hanging up and they just said, “ok.” When arriving, they not only refused to seat us, they wouldn’t listen to the fact that I had called to say I’d be late and the person on the other end of the line said we would be ok.
