Apple and raspberry crumble with custard for dessert all beautifully packed in an insulated bag.
My friend and I ordered a Sunday roast for takeaway and were pleasantly surprised by the excellent service and food. We expected foil dishes but received real plates in a cool bag, which kept the food hot on our half-hour drive home. My nut roast was one of the best I've ever had and we will definitely be returning. We also attended a Halloween event featuring ghost story telling and a supper, which was also well organized. The food was delicious and hot, and the storytelling was entertaining. Kudos to all the performers.
I made a last-minute reservation for dinner at the Trout Inn by the river in Lechlade, and it was a fantastic find. The staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and appreciated. The pub followed all COVID-19 guidelines but still maintained a cozy and comfortable atmosphere for dining. The food was delicious, and the Malteser white chocolate cheesecake was absolutely amazing! It was a wonderful evening overall, and I highly recommend dining here - you won't be disappointed.
Excellent Covid regulations in place. Friendly staff Annie in particular), wonderful food. Highly recommended.
We've been to this pub plenty of times but never eaten. We will be going back. Fantastic location right on the river. The pub is just so traditional it oozes what no modern pub can. It's just lovely. The food was lovely. The best ham I've ever had. The portions were huge and I totally stuffed myself as it was so tasty. Definitely be going back in the future
