The Potting Shed - Cotswold

We booked Sunday lunch at the Dormy Hotel, having dined here before and always look forward to it. We were warmly welcomed into a sitting room and offered drinks. The house is stunning and beautifully furnished. It did seem to take a little while to get us to our table but once seated we were well attended. The staff were pleasant although again it did take a little before our order was placed. The soup starter (celeriac, stilton £22 for two medium glasses of Sauvignon Blanc. However it didnt stop us enjoying the lunch and we would definitely visit again.

We were treated for a special occasion and had a fabulous evening. The food was delicious, service was attentive and professional yet friendly and unobtrusive. The duck breast was outstanding!

The food generally was very good and tastey although a very limited menu, especially the main courses for vegetarians... only 1 option....... so we settled for 2 starters each and a dessert which was yummie.... the chocolate brownie.... The service was extreamly slow even though we were the only table in at one point and although the staff were very polite and pleasant they lacked va va voom and the ability to make you feel special. The price structure seemed a bit pricey but would have been acceptable if the ambiance and service had matched the food Overall an OK evening but nothing to encourage a return visit any time soon

It seemed to take a while to get us on our table, but once we sat well visited. The staff was pleasant, although it was again taken a little before our order.
